Baby Picture Frames

My god child recently had a baby. She has been very special to me and I wanted to give her something special for the baby. She has always liked photographs, so I thought I could find some special baby picture frames that she could use in the nursery. As I thought more about the gift I thought it would be fun to incorporate some of the baby picture frames that her mom had used for her baby pictures.

I started going through the photographs that I had accumulated of her through out the years. Two of the baby picture frames were still in very good condition. I kept her picture in one of them and placed the photograph that she had sent with the birth announcement in the other. I then went through some of the photographs that my mother had. I found a photo of my sister as an infant that was perfect. I then located a baby picture of my sister’s husband. This took care of one half of the newborn’s family. I contacted the mother of my god child’s husband and let her know what I was doing and asked her if I could get baby pictures of herself, her husband and their son. She invited me over to look. She had two baby picture frames that complimented the other two I already had. She gave those to me along with the photographs I had requested. I then went and bought additional baby picture frames for all the photographs that I had collected.

I started to assemble my present. I had a total of seven various baby picture frames. Two of the baby picture frames matched and the rest were each different. Each of the baby picture frames were of similar size but they were a variety of shapes. They were also made from a variety of materials including glass, pewter and crystal. I packed each of the baby picture frames into a box and took them to my god child’s house to meet the new addition to the family. My sister was there when I arrived. When my god daughter opened my present she was very happy. It was fun to look at the infant photographs and compare who the new born looked like. My god daughter said that she wants to continue to have the three generations of pictures through out the stages of her child’s life. I think this would be a great idea and a wonderful way for her child to learn about the different stages of the lives of her parents and grandparents.
