Winnie The Pooh Toys

I walked into my daughter's bedroom last night and tripped almost immediately. The culprit who jumped up and tripped me was a stuffed Tigger. He's lucky he's cute because my stubbed toe still hurts! My entire house has Winnie The Pooh toys everywhere. It has ever since we brought her home from the hospital. The décor in her bedroom is Winnie the Pooh. The day that I went to Toys R Us to sign up for the baby registry, I truly began to understand exactly how many Winnie The Pooh toys exist. Pooh has taken over everything from bibs to pacifiers, and every toy and book imaginable. I honestly think that I could have spent hours picking and choosing between all of the adorable baby items out there. The prices on some of those particular items almost sent me into labor a few times, but I managed to choose affordable items. I knew that my friends and family would appreciate that. My mother kept reminding me that not everything I bought had to have a Pooh theme. I tried to keep that in mind, but Pooh seemed to have a mind of his own. All my husband would do is roll his eyes at every baby item I brought home.

Of course, I had to choose between all of the various types of toys that exist. There are educational toys, entertaining toys, teething toys, noisy toys and well, you get the picture. Fortunately, someone decided that Winnie the Pooh toys could fit into every category. Most of our baby items came from Toys R Us and Babies R Us. I try to always find a good deal, but when it comes to baby shopping, I'm a sucker. Then I decided that she would need some fluffy stuffed animals to snuggle at night. I dragged my husband to the mall one evening for the sole purpose of checking out The Disney Store. Much to my delight, The Disney Store was filled with Winnie the Pooh toys! Of course, they had tons of other themes and characters as well, but the Winnie the Pooh toys dared me to even look at any other character. We left that store each carrying two large bags. Needless to say, my husband was scowling.

Decorating my daughter's room was one of the most wonderful things I have ever done. I tried to be as creative as possible and yet keep her interests in mind. Fortunately for me, she was entirely too little to really have her own interests formed, so I made some executive decisions for her. Surprise, surprise - the theme of her room was Winnie the Pooh. Her sheets and curtains matched with little girl frills and ruffles. Her numerous Winnie the Pooh toys were all precariously arranged on her shelves, ready to find adventure.

Apparently they fall off of the shelves every so often, which is why Tigger jumped up at me. Maybe he wanted to be put back up on the shelf again.
